Home Design

All of us here at Borderline Reality have designed homes at one time or another. Creating structures has become an almost essential skill to practice when creating realistic CGI. We use many of the same programs used by architect’s all over the world. In doing so we can create highly detailed computer models of any construction known to man.

Below we will show you images of the exterior of the building we came to call the Queenslander. More of our home designs can be seen in our gallery section.

Choosing colours and materials

An art-form onto itself is the choosing of colours.  It can be surprising what a change in colours or materials can do to the look of a structure. At borderline Reality we like to apply a variety of different colours even if we think they won’t work it can be interesting to see what effect they can give.

The image you see above shows an army green coloured tin roof with lite-stone bricks used for the exterior walls.

The image you see above shows a dark grey cement tiled roof with chamferboard used for the exterior walls.

The image you see above shows a brown colored tin roof with masonry blocks used for the exterior walls.

The image you see above shows a red coloured cement tiled roof with multi-coloured standard brick used in the exterior walls.

The images below are of the lounge room and kitchen area of this home.
